Places to visit
The park, managed by the Corporación Nacional Forestal de Chile, CONAF, has 3 accesses: Sarmiento, Laguna Amarga and Laguna Azul porter's offices. Likewise, Comapa travel agency offers an interesting access alternative in its Fluvial Paine tour. There, you'll enjoy the incredible experience of sailing through the Patagonian channels and access to the park via the Serrano river during a beautiful voyage.
The park is full of attractions. Standing out, without a doubt, are Torres and Cuernos del Paine, a group of rocky formations that rise vertically giving life to the park and whereby the main trekking trails are traced. Some of the stunning pinnacles of the Park are Paine Grande mount, Cuernos del Paine themselves, Torres del Paine, Fortaleza and Escudo. Lakes also play the lead in the scene. Among them are Sarmiento, Nordenskjold, Pehoé, Toro lakes and the beautiful Grey lake, as well as Saltos Grande and Chico. The Serrano river is an excellent place for fishing, and at the Grey glacier you can admire one of the most beautiful landscapes within the area. |
