In the bosom of Ultima Esperanza you will find Mount Balmaceda located in the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park. The mount belongs to the Andes mountain range and the only way to get there is by sea. Departing early in the morning from Puerto Natales, skirting the coast and exploring the fjord, three hours later you come upon the million-year-old Balmaceda Glacier that is decked out with colonies of cormorants and sea lions.
Serrano GlacierThe boat docks in the fjord so that you can stroll amidst a native forest that will show the way to the foot of the Serrano Glacier. Alongside the glacier is a small lake that was formed by melting snow.
Perito Moreno GlacierThe Perito Moreno Glacier, to be found at Lake Argentino, is the only glacier that continually advances, and offers a never-ending show of ice detachment. This amazing glacier is one of Argentina’s most important natural attractions. The expedition begins at first light from Hotel Costaustralis and ends in the evening in Puerto Natales.
