Museums of Puerto Natales

The Salesian wildlife museum, Alberto de Agostini, exhibits samples of the area's native and Chilean wildlife. The Municipal Museum counts with local archaeological finds such as the Boris Freezer Plant, Captain Eberhard, the Cattle Society, artifacts and documents from the indigenous people, and Aónikenk and Kaweshkar. The museum was created in 1990 by Carabineros de Chile (the Chilean Police) and has five themed halls: The World and Primitive Environments Hall, The Settlers Hall, the Rural Living Hall, the Urban Activities and Exhibition Hall with samples of the original settings and indigenous life. Here you can find visitor information about the area.
